JONCQUIL (1973)

Joncquils’ work combines figurative and abstract imagery that seems to be in a state of flux. He chooses to paint environments that are semi-detached from reality. Drawing on historical as well as contemporary subjects, Joncquil creates fragmentary paintings that resemble projections of hallucinations, dreams or memories rather than images of everyday life.
